Favourite Christmas to New Year Moments

A picture speaks a thousand words. :) Here goes...

1. Planning & throwing my church's Children's Christmas Party
*A million thank you to everyone who made this party a success, especially Yi Lin, who is the backbone of the whole team. :) And may these children come to know the Lord at an early age. :)

2. Realizing how long we've been childhood best friends. "Best friends know how retarded each other are". I clearly know how retarded Woan Sein can be. HAHAHA.

3.  Captain Awesome's silly grin. =)

4. Laughing with my dad. :D

5. Coincidentally wearing a Question-and-Answer tshirt together with Captain Awesome. Haha. Funny moment when we realized it.

6. Christmas shopping for loved ones!!
[Thank you, love. :)]

[Nothing beats a classic wool blazer. ;)]

7. Seeing this Christmas tree made out of books. I was trying really hard not to be cheeky and pull out one of the books just to watch the whole thing collapse.
*rubbing my palm together with cheeky grin*

8. Receiving a box of chocolate cake topped with fresh strawberries from XiuQi!! :)))

9. Singing karaoke with a bunch of drunk girls. Drink water also drunk... Lol.

10. Having breakfast and healthy, encouraging conversation with my soul mate, Mel. :) I personally think the conversation was wayyyyyy healthier to the soul than our breakfast. Heh.

The year has ended. Time to start a great new year.
Dear Jesus, please guide my heart, my path and my ways. Amen!! :)

A Great New Year

I've been soooooooooo busy the past 2 weeks that I didn't even have the time to wish you peeps on Blogger a very Merry Christmas. So I'm gonna do it now, though I'm 6 days late... Teehee...
MERRY CHRISTMAS AND
A HAPPY NEW YEAR 2014!!!!!!
:D
Hahaha. Better late than never they say. :P

Christmas has been wonderful this year. :) Busy? Yes. Fulfilling? Double yes. :)
I was so caught up with preparing for my church's Children's Christmas Party, Christmas Eve performance, Christmas shopping, trying to hit my sales number, busy thinking about my future and dealing with disappointments, that I forgotten about the core of Christmas:
God's love.

Thank goodness it's never too late to come back to what's most important. :) And on Christmas day's morning service, I just took the opportunity to soak in and soak up His love. And I was once again reminded of God's abundant love, grace and mercy.

I know Christmas has always been a season of joy and celebration for many, but there are some of us who are actually dealing with disappointments, going through a storm, losing someone dear to us etc. And it's never easy dealing with all these when the rest of the world seems to be having the time of their lives celebrating and enjoying themselves.
But Matthew 1:23 reminded me something very important: "The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel, which means GOD WITH US". :)

Whatever you're going through, rain or shine... Remember, God is with us. You'll never be alone. And as we enter into a new year, keep your heads up. Have faith. Have hope. I know it's easier said than done. But sometimes, a little faith and hope is all you need to pull through. :)

Love,

Flashback (Part 1)

Finallyyyyyyyy. I could finally sit in front of my computer and try to update this blog. Hehe.
Firstly, I have to apologize because the things that you're gonna read later are way overdue. But I thought they're worth sharing, so let's go all the way back to Christmas........

Christmas was pretty special this year for many reasons:

#1. It was the 3rd, and also the final "Christmas with the Community Event" by my church, Tabernacle of Priase, for now. :) Who knows we might do it again in the future? :)
I get to relax a little bit more this year as I have another 5 emcees running the whole event together with me. So I get to run around and go kaypo at what others are doing. Tsk. :P
[Eeleen & Nic]

[All smiles. :) ]

[One of the lucky draw winners.]

[Cee Cee the clown. I hope I spelled her name correctly. LOL.]

[We also have NASAM over to talk about stroke prevention]

[TOP dance team :) ]

[Judges evalutating the children's coloring in the art competition]

I hope the 1600++ crowd were blessed through this event. I think the world has forgotten the true meaning of Christmas. Christmas has become a reason for people to party, get drunk, exchange gifts (nothing wrong with this but it's not the core of Christmas), celebrate the existence of Santa Claus etc. But I hope through this event, they will be able to see the true meaning of Christmas - God's love. :)

#2. It was my first time winning something from those "What-are-the-odds-of-me-being-chosen" kind of competition. HAHA.
To know more about the competition, click here. And as for what I got........................................................
TAAAAAAAADAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!
[Ralph Lauren perfume!!!]
However, I was given the men's cologne (don't ask me why, maybe they took my wish a little too serious, and thought that I'm so smelly that only men cologne is strong enough for me. Hahahahaha.)
Nevertheless, THANK YOU RALPH LAUREN!!! And THANK YOU 1st Avenue mall!!! :)

#3. Captain Awesome was in town. :)
He was sooooo busy being Captain A that he forgotten to get me a Christmas present. But then he did make it up by getting me a dress for work in the end la...:)

#4. Received Christmas presents that I really love! :)
This Lego Spiderman keychain is from Natasha. :)
[With great power, comes great responsibilities - Spiderman]

[Spiderman got caught on camera while in action!!]

[And this is from Daddy dearest. :) So pwettyyyyyyyyy.]

[STITCH!!! :) This is from Yi Lin. A headphone jack plug. RAWRRRRRR!!!]
But sadly, my headphone jack is at the bottom, just like iPhone 5's. So I displayed it together with my other Stitch figurines. :) And yes..I bought myself a new phone months ago, as my Nokia E72's motherboard crashed. So nope. I'm no longer living in stone age. :P
[The thing that separated me from stone age: Samsung Galaxy S Advance]

#5. Last but not least, I get to spent quality time with my family this Christmas. Christmas has always been very busy for us and we never had the chance to "escape" the responsibilities given to us every Christmas. :P The same goes for this year. However, we took our chances and drove down to KL during the Christmas weekend.  :)

[Yours truly & her aunt]

[I successfully psycho my aunt to get this watch for herself from Swatch. Hehe. The power of a sales girl. ;) ]

[If anyone can guess what this is, I'll give you........a piece of this thing. HAHAHA.
Clue: It's edible. Hehe.]

[Would you like a cup of tea..?]

[And this is mommy trying to be funny by posing and trying out all the furniture in IKEA. I'm very sure she was blacklisted after that.]

[This is me, feeling really bored and sleepy.]
Wah. This is a very cheong hei post. Write until I also wanna fall asleep liao. That's it for now. Goodnight peeps! :)

Because Of You

Because of You,
I learnt how to forgive others when they hurt me.
Because of You,
I was able to love those unlovable.
Because of You,
I learnt to show kindness and gentleness to those who don't deserve it in men's eyes.
Because of You,
I was able to give generously to those in need.

Because just like them, I've hurt others, I am unlovable, I'm undeserving...
Yet You love me unconditionally, and You never gave up on me.
And as Christmas approach, I hope I will be able to share this love with someone who needs this grace just as much as I do. :)

This Christmas Eve

...was not like any other Christmas Eve. It was special, fun and busyyyy!! :)
Shawn and I spent this year's Christmas apart. He was in KK, and myself in Penang. But with the help of technology, we Skyped and countdown to Christmas eve! :) We couldn't count down to Christmas 'cause he'll be busy in church, and I know for sure I'll be too tired to stay up until 12am after my church's awesome Christmas event (follow me 'til the end of this blog post and you'll know). :)

When you're in a LDR, Skype, webcam, phone calls, SMSs are your primary choices of communication and to meet each other half way. :) I reminded him before I left my office that our "date" is at 11pm. And when I switch on Skype and my webcam at 11, he was there in a shirt, white tie and a coat!! Hahahaha!! Silly him. :)
[Captain Awesome all suit up and handsome. :) ]
[Had to cover my horrible pimples..:( ]

It was a fun night. :) We opened each others' presents at midnight, talk for a little while longer and I had to go because I have to wake up at 6am the next day.
[A parcel all the way from Sabah.]
[Totally love what I saw in the box!]
[Green bunny box]
[One of the things in my Christmas Wish List. :) Thanks hun.]

Then came Christmas Eve morning! My church organized our second Christmas with the Community event, where we have a Christmas Carnival with game stalls and food stalls -
All for free!! :) All they needed to do, was to walk into the carnival, register their names, and have fun!!

We had a total of 12 game stalls, from Pinball to mini Golf; we gave out free ice creams, free lunch; we also organized a coloring competition for the children, blood donation, free pap smear and breasts examination, free hair cut and many more! We also invited clowns to give away cute little balloons!! :) And our Youth team presented a dance, singing performance and also few sessions of caroling. It was a great event. A total of 1600 people turn up, some did not register so there could probably be more people. :)
[Mee & I]
 [Me & the Egg]
[This is our very own made Pinball board - Dee, Uncle Wilbur and Co. are just plain awesome. :)]
[Look at the crowd!!]
 [Free hair cut. Anyone??]
[I took the courage to take picture with one of the clowns - Jenny. So proud of myself. :P ]

I was the emcee of the event and almost lost my voice when the event ended. Haha! Had an ulcer though. And it still hasn't recover. :( But it was all worth it. The smiles on the children's faces and especially on the old folks... Priceless. :)
[Our event was in the newspaper the next day!! :) ]

And oh oh!!! I had my first bite and taste of macarons! :D It was...
No big deal. Hahahaha! My friends made it sound like when you have a mouth of it, you'll be fly like a G6!! Apparently, the first thing that came to my mind was - Diabetes. LOL.
But anyhow, thank you XiuQi!!! For the wonderful macarons!!! :))
[Macarons from Delectable by Su, The Gardens, Kuala Lumpur]
Merry Christmas everyone!! :) And a Happy New Year. 3 more days to go and it's 2012!!
Any New Year's Resolution?? :)
[Teddy wishes everyone a very Merry Christmas!]
