Big Girls Don't Cry

It's been so long I don't even know where to start. Lol.
I remember I started blogging back in 2009 when I was studying in KK, Sabah. On 22nd of March 2009, I wrote my first blog post. And here I am again, back in KK after 6 years.
It's crazy how life will never turn out to be how you planned it. No matter how detailed your planning is, life will always take you a different journey.

It may not be how I want it to be, but I know God knows best. And I just need to walk in faith. :) I miss home though. I miss my baby girl. I miss the girls whom I trained floorball with. I miss the smell of my mom's facial wash. And perhaps my brother's fart too. Heh. But I need to be strong now. I need to be a big girl. And big girls don't cry.

Happy Bithday, Dad. =)

To the one man who stood by me through thick and thin;
Who loved me when I was at my worse;
Who encouraged me to stand up every time I fall;
Who quietly clears up my mess and never complaints;
Who is always proud of me but never mentions a word about it...
Daddy, you couldn't have loved me any better.
Happy Birthday. =)

My dad has this crazy love for cream and steamboat, so Weijin and I bought him the Black Forest cake from Secret Recipe, and also to Seoul Garden for lunch the next day (upon his request). :) My dad is a happy man when his tummy remains round.
[Dee, Mee & Black Forest. Lol.]

[Mirror mirror on the wall, who's the darkest and shortest of 'em all?
EELEEN.]

[Again. Dee, Mee & Seoul Garden. Hahaha!]
Sorry. The pictures look so nice I just have to post it up. Hehehe.

[The pain in the ass and the crazy girl with the crazy hair. :)]

"树欲静而风不止,子欲养而亲不在..."
A very good reminder. :)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDYYY!!!

Hai Boey Seafood Restaurant - Gertak Sanggul

Me: "Do you like seafood?"
Rach: "Depends on what it is. I think it's very sad to eat squid and octopus 'cause they're too cute. :((( Eat fish! Fish is ugly."
Joke of the day I tell you. HAHAHAHA.

No. I didn't go for seafood with Rachel. I went with my family. =) It's been a while since we last had seafood the Penang way, so I suggested that we head to either Tambun or Gertak Sanggul for some. We drove pass quite a few restaurants, like Khun Thai, some famous Mee Udang place, and another ikan bakar stall full of people, but ended up in Hai Boey Seafood Restaurant. =) Also full of human beings.

Took us almost 15 minutes to wait for a table. Fuhhh. But it was worth it. =)
PICTURESSSSSS!!!
[For those of you who understand mandarin :)]

[Pork ribs!!!]

[Mantis prawn salad]

[Salted egg yolk crab]

Taste: 8/10
Price: 7/10
Ambience: 6/10 (It's a typical seafood place by the beach, without air con)
Cleanliness: 9/10
Service: 7/10

Will definitely go back again and again. Should try their Claypot steam fish next round. Seems like it's their signature dish. =) And if your tummy can wait, try going after 8pm. It's less packed after 8pm. ;)

Favourite Christmas to New Year Moments

A picture speaks a thousand words. :) Here goes...

1. Planning & throwing my church's Children's Christmas Party
*A million thank you to everyone who made this party a success, especially Yi Lin, who is the backbone of the whole team. :) And may these children come to know the Lord at an early age. :)

2. Realizing how long we've been childhood best friends. "Best friends know how retarded each other are". I clearly know how retarded Woan Sein can be. HAHAHA.

3.  Captain Awesome's silly grin. =)

4. Laughing with my dad. :D

5. Coincidentally wearing a Question-and-Answer tshirt together with Captain Awesome. Haha. Funny moment when we realized it.

6. Christmas shopping for loved ones!!
[Thank you, love. :)]

[Nothing beats a classic wool blazer. ;)]

7. Seeing this Christmas tree made out of books. I was trying really hard not to be cheeky and pull out one of the books just to watch the whole thing collapse.
*rubbing my palm together with cheeky grin*

8. Receiving a box of chocolate cake topped with fresh strawberries from XiuQi!! :)))

9. Singing karaoke with a bunch of drunk girls. Drink water also drunk... Lol.

10. Having breakfast and healthy, encouraging conversation with my soul mate, Mel. :) I personally think the conversation was wayyyyyy healthier to the soul than our breakfast. Heh.

The year has ended. Time to start a great new year.
Dear Jesus, please guide my heart, my path and my ways. Amen!! :)

Penang Bridge International Marathon 2013

There's one person I really wanna thank you today, and he is no other than my hero daddy. =)
He stayed up whole night so that he can drive me to Queensbay on time, and was already waiting for me at the designated place ('cause I ran without my phone so we had to confirm a waiting place as he wouldn't be able to contact me). It was the best feeling I felt after a long long time to see him standing there and smiling, and laughing at me at the same time 'cause I was walking one kind. Hmmmp. And to hug him. =)

So yes. I was late for my marathon. Started 5 minutes late. When my dad woke me up it was already 2:30am and I was like sh*t. Zzz. Stupid Twilight kept me up til 12am. Hehehehe. How can you resist vampire movies?!?!?! :D I weally did try to sleep. Weally weally. ;)
Okay. Back to the story, didn't have time for Milo, no time to bang sai (bad bad bad), no time to warm up properly. I ran to the starting line and ran pass it like a boss. Haha.

Running with a colon full of sh*t is bad. Extra load. And it really uspets the tummy. =(
But then something cheered me up. There was this girl running in a cute unicorn mascot!!! It's so fluffy I'm gonna dieeeeee!!! Hahaha. Darn cute la. But I cannot imagine the heat she has to go through wearing that thick suit. Zzz.

[Yours truly]
Timing was satisfactory, since I started chaotically. Heh.

It was a good run. I find myself dreaming a lot along the way, looking at stars and also at people's funny way of running. Haha. Enough marathon for this year!!! Enough is enough!!! >=)
Thank you Jesus, for helping me to stay focus even when my legs were hurting and help me tahan my bang sai til I finish. Haha. *You have no idea*

Happy Birthday, Eeleen!!! =)

I received a total of 8 different cakes on this year's birthday... Am I blessed or what?!?! ;)
Hehehehehehe. My mom is the happiest 'cause she gets to try out so many cakes.
I wasn't expecting anything this year, 'cause... Well, I don't know... Just didn't expect anything la. You can't really expect people to celebrate for you every year right?! It's not like I'm some big shot celebrity or what.
But I was once again reminded that I am surrounded by really, really awesome and sweet people. =)

Parents got me a cake, treated me chicken rice (yes my ultimate favorite hehe); mom got me a mascara ('cause she wanted the Buy 1 Free 1 deal in Watsons HAHA), and dad paid for my very first original Adidas running shorts!!
[You're pretty blind if you can't see my wide grin]

I usually run in whatever jersey shorts I have. So to have one of this is really cool. =)
[Adidas Modern Classics]

Captain Awesome got me an iguana charm, to add to my Thomas Sabo charm collection. =) He wrapped that tiny little iguana in a box twice the size of my head. o.O Men. Haha.
[Got this for Valentine's =) ]

[Green little iguana. Super duper cute...=) ]

Then in the evening after a friendly game with Spearhead Floorball Club, team Contact surprised me with a cake and a birthday song!! It was a really, really pleasant surprise. =)
[It was also Serene's birthday]

And that was not the end. Natasha asked me to follow her to her car, and she actually got me a whole big box of Secret Recipe cakes, all different flavours, all lighted up!! How sweet was that. =) But what happened was, the box caught fire from the candle, and it started burning and flaming up. HAHAHAHAHAHA. I couldn't laugh during that moment 'cause I was really tired after the game, and happy, and worried that the fire would cause her car to explode, and was busy trying to put out the fire without ruining the cakes. LOL. Kan cheong. Thank you, princess. =)
[Fire aftermath. Hehe.]

Benson also got me a gift, wrapped in newspaper!! Hahahahaha. Apparently he couldn't afford wrapping paper, according to him. HAHA. Joker this fella. LOL. Thanks Ben. :)
[From Benson. Super hard Fatpipe balls.]

Like I said, I am once again reminded of how loved and blessed I am. =)
Time seems to fly faster than ever lately, and it's really scary. But I try not to think about it.
Thank you for making this birthday really, really special. =) You know who you are.

CNY 2013

It's been a week since Chinese New Year ended. And I would say, it was a good one. =) It was packed with family visits, meeting up with friends, Captain Awesome was in town, Anne was back from New Zealand. The only regret was not being able to meet up with Myjojo when he was back. Sigh. But still, it was good. And I get to take a week break from work. Ahhhhhhh...=)

I went up to Penang hill with the new train for the first time!! Hehehe. Quite fast eh the train. And because we came down at 11pm (which is also the last train down), we had the whole "compartment" to ourselves. Hehehe.

[Went cycling with Captain Awesome]

Met up with my high school friends on the 4th day of CNY and had our "reunion lunch" at this place, half way going up Balik Pulau. I can't really remember the name of the makan place, but this was what happened:
We were seated at a place where the sun was really bright and glaring, so we asked for a change of place. There were approximately 30 tables there, and only 3 were occupied, but you know what the waitress said?
NO.
So we requested to talk to the manager, expecting a different answer, but she said the same thing, and gave us the reason that they've already keyed in our orders for our table number. However, if we really want to, we have to move all our food and cutleries on our own. WTH.
I find it hilarious and annoying at the same time, 'cause the reason they gave just doesn't make sense to me, especially if the rest of the tables are empty and not reserved.

[So this is what happens when you pissed off 10 ladies:
Yes. They mess up your table real bad.]

[Bet we are all blacklisted from that restaurant now. =.="]

I also met up with my Form 6 buddies, and 3 out of 6 of us are medical representatives, from different companies. But head to head competitors. LOL.
[karyee.jane.cecilia.angie.chey.eeleen]

[Once a bestie, always a bestie. No matter how things have changed.]
The end of Chinese New Year also means I have to start working like a cow, in order to end my first quarter sales well... *Feeling dreadful, but fingers crossed*

This Morning...

I successfully dragged my brother out of bed on a cold, rainy, public holiday morning, at 6am, just to go cycling with me. YESH!!! *Smirk* For those of u who don't know us, my brother and I are 3 years apart, but look very much alike. Which only means either I look like a guy, or he looks like a girl. HAHAHAHA. I choose to believe the latter one. :P
Someone once commented that maybe my brother and i got mixed up in terms of personality. 'Cause I'm the one who's always outside in the sun and rain, running, cycling, sweating; while he sits at home enjoying the comforts of the roof over his head. But I'm sure God doesn't make mistakes la..:) I'm sure we are both given these traits to glorify Him in different ways.

So yessss, I managed to drag that lazy bum out of bed, and together with my aunt and uncle, we cycled from the foot of Penang hill to Straits Quay, then to Gurney, and back again. :) I really hope he enjoyed himself, 'cause I enjoyed bringing my little brother cycling around some parts of Penang Island. :)
=)

[Dreamer]
While we stop at the traffic lights at Cantonment Road, there was this stall selling apom (local pancake/crepes). Their pancakes smell soooooo good that my aunt couldn't resist. Thus..*the picture below*
[Spotted buying pancakes!! Haha.]
To be honest, I really miss floorball and the people I train with. I miss running too. These two are the things that keep my head straight and clear, and without them both, something just feel...
not right. :(
