Once again, I'm thankful for great people around me even as I face this depressing fact that I am getting further away from being 17. Lol. =) 

Shawn was in town during my birthday weekend. =) He wanted to bring me to some place nice and quiet, but there was just no time. It was floorball, floorball, floorball. 

Floorball on Saturday; floorball on Sunday. There goes my birthday. 

Haha. Kidding. But I really need to thank Shawn for patiently waiting for me the whole Saturday. I did make it up to him by bringing him to his favorite laksa lemak. Hehehe.

He helped coach SWAT during our Sunday training; and after that, the girls gave me a small surprise. Simple and sweet. =) Thank you Lala, Rachel, Sarah, Xiew Mei, Lyndee, Jasmine!!!

Shawn gave me a bottle of Versace perfume. =) After dating for 3 years, he still doesn't know that I am allergic to perfume. HAHAHAHA. Omg. Captain Awesome indeed. Lol.

But it's okay. =) I too gave him so many undersize tshirts for his birthday/anniversary that made him look soooo gay.

I am not getting older. I am just becoming a classic. Hehehe.

The year has ended. Time to start a great new year.

5th CFAL & SCKLM 2013

What?!?! It's been two months since I last posted anything?!?! How can time fly so fast?!?!?! How can how can how can?!?!?!

*Shocked face*

I wish I could stop time. 4 more months and I'm turning 2*. =] But I know that as long as I walk with God, this life could only get better, stronger. =) #Gottahavefaith 

(I'M FINALLY LEARNING HOW TO HASHTAG!!!!! Thanks to my Floorball girls. LOL.)

So yes. September and October has been a sporty month. Hehe.

Nailed my first CFAL 82km round island in early September, finished slightly above 4 hours. It was raining heavily the whole journey which made downhill ride VERY SLOW 'cause I was scared I'd ruin my face if I crash. Serious. So I was riding really carefully & slow when going downhill. There were lots of accidents along the way, bandaged knee, bandaged arm, head etc. All thanks to the rain and slippery roads.

So I really thank God for keeping me, Benson, Jasmine and Elaine safe all the way, and helping me to continue paddling when my legs were failing. 82km without proper distance training is tough sh*t.

Conclusion: AWESOME RIDE!

OH OHHH!!!! I won my first ever big lucky draw!!! Hehehehehehehehehe. I wanted to leave right away after the ride 'cause I was never lucky enough to win anything but Benson was bugging me to stay and said he will be my lucky charm. And who knew......who knew....... I won a RM2k++ road bike wheel set!!! =)))

Then month end came and it was time for my first Standard Chartered KL Marathon. Another marathon I went unprepared and suffered the consequences. =________="

I started the journey with Lavinia & her friend (which was actually Sarah Chang's sister which I had no idea about Haha), but lost them after 5km.

It was a painful run starting from kilometer 12. My leg muscles just decided to shut down on me, and started hurting like asdfghjkl@#$%^&*()?!!!. I tried to push myself but the pain was just too much to bear. If you know me well, I'm not the kind who gives up easily but this time, I just did. I started walking really slow starting from kilometer 15, not thinking about the time or distance. 'Cause I knew it was impossible for me to finish the race in time with my condition. Many times I just felt like sitting by the road side and call for emergency helper to carry me back. But that moment, that moment when I feel like I really couldn't go on anymore, Lavinia caught up from behind. That moment I felt like crying I tell you. She was like an angel sent to me at the right moment. =) So we started running again, really slowwwwwwwww. Not wanting to slow her down I asked Lala to go ahead when we were about 2km away from the finishing line, while I drag my feet across the line. Finished in 3:08. Not bad for an OKU.

So basically that's it la. I'm really starting to hate the word distance 'cause it's torturing and hard. Zzz. If it's not for my love for food & the sense of achievement I wouldn't be doing all these. Dang. Lol.

CNY 2013

It's been a week since Chinese New Year ended. And I would say, it was a good one. =) It was packed with family visits, meeting up with friends, Captain Awesome was in town, Anne was back from New Zealand. The only regret was not being able to meet up with Myjojo when he was back. Sigh. But still, it was good. And I get to take a week break from work. Ahhhhhhh...=)

I went up to Penang hill with the new train for the first time!! Hehehe. Quite fast eh the train. And because we came down at 11pm (which is also the last train down), we had the whole "compartment" to ourselves. Hehehe.

[Went cycling with Captain Awesome]

Met up with my high school friends on the 4th day of CNY and had our "reunion lunch" at this place, half way going up Balik Pulau. I can't really remember the name of the makan place, but this was what happened:
We were seated at a place where the sun was really bright and glaring, so we asked for a change of place. There were approximately 30 tables there, and only 3 were occupied, but you know what the waitress said?
NO.
So we requested to talk to the manager, expecting a different answer, but she said the same thing, and gave us the reason that they've already keyed in our orders for our table number. However, if we really want to, we have to move all our food and cutleries on our own. WTH.
I find it hilarious and annoying at the same time, 'cause the reason they gave just doesn't make sense to me, especially if the rest of the tables are empty and not reserved.

I also met up with my Form 6 buddies, and 3 out of 6 of us are medical representatives, from different companies. But head to head competitors. LOL.

The end of Chinese New Year also means I have to start working like a cow, in order to end my first quarter sales well... *Feeling dreadful, but fingers crossed*

APBIM 2012

I remember my first half marathon in year 2011. It was horrible. I was limping due to cramps on both legs, and crying when I cross the finishing line. Dreadful.

Last Sunday, 18th November 2012, was my 2nd half marathon. It was also my first and last Penang Bridge Marathon on the old bridge. :) So I would say it's a memorable one. Because according to others, next year's marathon will be on the new bridge. So I assume they're gonna rush to finish up the new bridge by 2013. 

I wasn't well prepared for the marathon at all. Neither physically nor mentally. It was raining every evening since 3 weeks before the marathon, so I couldn't really train, all because I was down with a cold. I'm still coughing like mad right now as I'm writing this post. :( Couldn't sleep the night before the marathon 'cause again, my throat was irritated and I kept waking up and coughing, to the extend I had to sleep in the living room, afraid of waking up my family and Captain Awesome (he was gonna run full marathon so I know how important it is for him to sleep).

Woke up at around 12.30AM, feeling horrible and having a thousand thoughts of just quitting and not going for the marathon. But nonetheless, I dragged my lazy a** to the marathon site. After saying goodbye to Captain Awesome, as his full marathon flag-off time is at 2:00AM, I sat there alone, day dreaming, looking at girls with skinny muscular legs; at guys with tight 2XU pants (sadly no handsome ones); and watching Mr. Siput warm up beside me (He was the fella who wore a snail suit and ran half marathon, I think, and written on his shell was "Run Like A Siput). Haha. Then I went to the portable toilet booth to ease my bladder, wondering if the whole booth would actually tumble over if I push it hard enough from the inside. Then I visited the different different tents, warmed up with the aerobics team like a malfunction robot 'cause I couldn't follow the steps. Yea. That was basically what I did in one hour and 15 minutes until it's time for my flag-off time, 3:15AM.

It wasn't an easy run, especially running with a dry, phlegmy throat, and coughing all the way. It was tough. I couldn't breathe properly. Then the first nightmare came, a pain on my left ankle starting from 9km. But I told myself, just keep running, and if it becomes too unbearable, just walk. So that's what I did. I ran and walk, ran and walk. I stopped at every St. John emergency "pit-stop" and asked for them to ice my left ankle. It didn't help. But I continue to ran.

Then came the 2nd nightmare. The urge to bang sai. =.=" Every portable toilet I see by the road side was so tempting. But when I imagine what I would smell and see when I open the door, I just tell myself: "Screw it. Just tahan til you finish the race and get home."
Then the image of the toilet bowl in my house suddenly turns to shinny gold. Hehehehe. 

I finish in 2 hours and 48 minutes. My strongest run was the last 4km. Probably because I want to bang sai so badly. Haha. Went to the APBIM website today and found my ranking: 360/1876. Lousy. Haha.

But nonetheless, I think I did pretty well this time even without proper training and bad physical condition. 2013 perhaps, I'll finish it in 2 hours and 15 minutes. ;)

Lastly, I wanna thank God for giving me the strength and determination to finish my half marathon, and also for helping Captain Awesome to finish his full marathon way before his time limit *prouds* and also for helping our friends too. Til next year. :)

This was supposed to be up a week ago but I have been superbly busy ever since I came back from Sabah. Heh. Sorry for the delay ah..:)
Yes. I flew to KK two weekends ago for Captain Awesome's brother's big day:
Harold and Doreen's wedding. :)

I missed the church wedding 'cause it was on a separate weekday, so I could only make it for the dinner. Nonetheless, it was full of surprises, with a crazy wedding entrance dance (exactly like the one I danced for Matthew and Madalen's wedding dinner), a very cute and funny video of Harold trying to save the world while his bride was anxiously waiting for him to get married LOL, and also a young band performing pretty good music.

The band was seated at our table and Captain Awesome told me that the lead guitarist kept staring at him. So I suspect that he's gay 'cause he had hair twice the length of mine, and he had mascara and eyeliner on, and earring on his right ear. But oh well..I wouldn't mind letting him feast his eye on Captain Awesome for a while 'cause he played good music. HAHAHA. :D

I think it's his aunty. She thought I was only 15 or 16 and thought Captain Awesome hired me to be his escort. WALAO. Pffffft. Captain Awesome felt super insulted, but for me...you gotta be really attractive and smart to be an escort right?? LOL. So I take it as a compliment. HAHAHA.

In the end, I was assigned to give out these roses, since Harold has already paid for it. Plus, it was only few days after Valentine's. So it'd be nice to give the ladies these roses. :)

I was in KK for barely 48 hours, and had to say goodbye dy. Sigh. But it's okay. I should be seeing him soon. Flew back to Penang early in the morning, and straight away head to Vistana Hotel for my company's annual dinner. I was in charge of the event and was also the emcee, so I had to be there by noon to make sure everything was alright and also for rehearsals.
