Good Friday

I can never fully comprehend the depths of His love, when He died on that cross, for me.
But when I truly understand how undeserving I am, I can catch a glimpse of His love, mercy and goodness.

Cycling and Me

I've had my road bike for about 4 months now, and never have I once regret buying that bicycle and getting myself involved in cycling and crashes and near death experiences. :)

Though I have to say, cycling has affected me in a way or another, both physically and mentally. Let me share:

1. I am 3 tones darker now. My mom said if I become any darker she's gonna burn my bike. HAHA.

2. I have learnt to be more considerate towards other road users, especially motorcyclists and bicyclists. One tiny mistake from us car users and we could have easily killed them. Just the same, some drivers could've easily killed me.

3. My heart and legs are stronger now. I wasn't tired at all while playing against Spearhead in last week's friendly though we only had 1 and a half lines of players. Cycling is a real good cardio workout. :)

4. I noticed I can't seem to close my legs properly lately. HAHA. So not feminine. And I really blame it on cycling. Tsk.

5. I feel cooler. Just because I'm doing something an average 26 year old person won't. :P

Okay. Brain dead. Can't think of anything more now. Goodnight peeps!

Happy Birthday, Eeleen!!! =)

I received a total of 8 different cakes on this year's birthday... Am I blessed or what?!?! ;)
Hehehehehehe. My mom is the happiest 'cause she gets to try out so many cakes.
I wasn't expecting anything this year, 'cause... Well, I don't know... Just didn't expect anything la. You can't really expect people to celebrate for you every year right?! It's not like I'm some big shot celebrity or what.
But I was once again reminded that I am surrounded by really, really awesome and sweet people. =)

Parents got me a cake, treated me chicken rice (yes my ultimate favorite hehe); mom got me a mascara ('cause she wanted the Buy 1 Free 1 deal in Watsons HAHA), and dad paid for my very first original Adidas running shorts!!
[You're pretty blind if you can't see my wide grin]

I usually run in whatever jersey shorts I have. So to have one of this is really cool. =)
[Adidas Modern Classics]

Captain Awesome got me an iguana charm, to add to my Thomas Sabo charm collection. =) He wrapped that tiny little iguana in a box twice the size of my head. o.O Men. Haha.
[Got this for Valentine's =) ]

[Green little iguana. Super duper cute...=) ]

Then in the evening after a friendly game with Spearhead Floorball Club, team Contact surprised me with a cake and a birthday song!! It was a really, really pleasant surprise. =)
[It was also Serene's birthday]

And that was not the end. Natasha asked me to follow her to her car, and she actually got me a whole big box of Secret Recipe cakes, all different flavours, all lighted up!! How sweet was that. =) But what happened was, the box caught fire from the candle, and it started burning and flaming up. HAHAHAHAHAHA. I couldn't laugh during that moment 'cause I was really tired after the game, and happy, and worried that the fire would cause her car to explode, and was busy trying to put out the fire without ruining the cakes. LOL. Kan cheong. Thank you, princess. =)
[Fire aftermath. Hehe.]

Benson also got me a gift, wrapped in newspaper!! Hahahahaha. Apparently he couldn't afford wrapping paper, according to him. HAHA. Joker this fella. LOL. Thanks Ben. :)
[From Benson. Super hard Fatpipe balls.]

Like I said, I am once again reminded of how loved and blessed I am. =)
Time seems to fly faster than ever lately, and it's really scary. But I try not to think about it.
Thank you for making this birthday really, really special. =) You know who you are.

When I was a Kid... #004

... My mom used to tell me that if I swallow any seed, it would grow into a tree on my head. So I have always been very careful while eating anything with seeds. But there was once, I accidentally swallowed a dried pickled plum's seed, and I WAS SO FREAKING SCARED AND WORRIED!!!!!

The first thing I did when I wake up every morning was to touch my head, look at the mirror, making sure there was no tree on my head, with ugly plums growing on it. And mom told me that lasted for a month. Thankyouverymuchforprankingmelikethis, mom.
HAHA. If it was true, I would have had watermelon, orange, grapes, plum, etc. growing on my head now. :D

Birthday Blues

I don't know why I'm feeling this way. Another 7 hours and I'll be a year older already. It feels.......
Stressful.
Instead of feeling excited, happy, etc.. I'm feeling stressful. Pfffft. Is there something wrong with me..? Sometimes, it's just so hard juggling between being who I am, and trying to meet everyone else's expectations of me. Sigh.
But I am not blind. I am grateful for all the things God has bless me with. No doubt in that. And for the times He said "No" to me. He is never early, never late, but always on time. I have my hopes, dreams, and plans, but for all those that has yet to come through, maybe it's just not the right time yet.
So til then, gonna keep my hopes up. And be happy and strong, no matter what comes my way.
*Tick tock... Tick Tock...* Counting the seconds... =]

When I was a Kid... #003

... I used to sit in front of the TV and talked to the news anchor.
'Cause they seem like they were talking to me, so I replied back. But they never really listened to me. They just keep talking and talking.

When I was a Kid... #002

... I wanted to be a firewoman. But being such a klutz, I thank God I am not one now.
I would have either burn myself to death, or tripped on some burning wood and cause the whole house to collapse and burn down quicker. Gah.

When I was a Kid... #001

... I actually thought aeroplanes dump or unload human sh*t and pee into the ocean when they fly across it.
But grew up to realize that by doing so, humans would be eating fish and prawns and clamps that eat human sh*t and pee. Errrr... Thank goodness my thoughts never came true.

CNY 2013

It's been a week since Chinese New Year ended. And I would say, it was a good one. =) It was packed with family visits, meeting up with friends, Captain Awesome was in town, Anne was back from New Zealand. The only regret was not being able to meet up with Myjojo when he was back. Sigh. But still, it was good. And I get to take a week break from work. Ahhhhhhh...=)

I went up to Penang hill with the new train for the first time!! Hehehe. Quite fast eh the train. And because we came down at 11pm (which is also the last train down), we had the whole "compartment" to ourselves. Hehehe.

[From strangers to lovers, to husband and wife, to parents... and many more years to come. :) ]

[woanseineeleen. Also many more years of friendship to come. ;) ]

[Went cycling with Captain Awesome]

Met up with my high school friends on the 4th day of CNY and had our "reunion lunch" at this place, half way going up Balik Pulau. I can't really remember the name of the makan place, but this was what happened:
We were seated at a place where the sun was really bright and glaring, so we asked for a change of place. There were approximately 30 tables there, and only 3 were occupied, but you know what the waitress said?
NO.
So we requested to talk to the manager, expecting a different answer, but she said the same thing, and gave us the reason that they've already keyed in our orders for our table number. However, if we really want to, we have to move all our food and cutleries on our own. WTH.
I find it hilarious and annoying at the same time, 'cause the reason they gave just doesn't make sense to me, especially if the rest of the tables are empty and not reserved.

[So this is what happens when you pissed off 10 ladies:
Yes. They mess up your table real bad.]

[Bet we are all blacklisted from that restaurant now. =.="]

I also met up with my Form 6 buddies, and 3 out of 6 of us are medical representatives, from different companies. But head to head competitors. LOL.

[Once a bestie, always a bestie. No matter how things have changed.]
The end of Chinese New Year also means I have to start working like a cow, in order to end my first quarter sales well... *Feeling dreadful, but fingers crossed*

Pet Peeves

I'm not the kind of person who gets annoyed over simple things. For example, some would curse their way through a traffic jam; but for me, I would just take the time to look at things around me that I usually don't have the time for; or stare at the neighbouring driver and try to guess which radio station is he/she listening to if he/she was singing along with the song played.

BUT..there are certain people or things that just simple press on my hot button. And trust me, you won't like me when I am angry. Grrrr.

1. People who sit behind me in a cinema and can't keep their legs still.
I hate it when people kick my chair while I'm watching a movie. Or when they shake their legs, turning my chair into a vibrating massage chair. Pffft.
Annoyed level: 7/10

2. Waiters (especially those taking orders) who don't smile.
You may have a bad day, but that doesn't give you the permission to be rude to your customers. A smile doesn't costs you anything, probably just some energy needed to curve up that lips and show your teeth. I've been a waitress many many times, trust me, a smile goes a long way. And it could even earn you big tips. So come on, don't be stingy with that smile. =)
Annoyed level: 8/10

3. The word "Whatever".
I will slap the person.
Annoyed level: 9/10

4. Drivers/motorcyclists who almost caused you an accident, but they stare at you as if it's your fault.
!@#$%^&!!! I may drive a small car but I know my undang-undang okay..
Annoyed level: 9/10

5. People who curse like nobody's business and think it's cool.
You are given a mouth for a reason. And I'm sure it's not for that purpose. So hold your tongue. Whatever you say on earth, is sealed in heaven. Be wise.
Annoyed level: 7/10

6. Yawning loudly and not closing the mouth.
Especially if one is in a meeting/church service/conference.
Imagine yourself talking on the stage and someone yawns loudly with the mouth wide open, right in your face. I think it's really disrespectful. So please people.....
Annoyed level: 7/10

7. Someone who says "No laaa" to everything I say and gives their point of view ALL THE TIME.
I may not be right everytime, but I can't be that wrong all the time. Maybe you can try to consider that there's a possibility that things I say makes sense too...? =(
Annoyed level: 8/10

8. Men who ogle or whistle at women walking down the street. Or when they go: "Ah moi...."
I get that very often when I work. And I really x1000000000000000000000000000 hate it. Sigh. Leave us ladies alone. Ughhhhh.
Annoyed level: 10/10

9. Screaming kids in public.
If it's a baby, I understand. They can't help it. But if the kid is 5 and above, and still yelling like they own the world............. They'll get it if he/she was my kid.
Annoyed level: 8/10

10. Finding peas-carrot-corn in my fried rice.
Those of you who know me well enough should know that I hate bean sprouts in my noodles. But what's worse than that is finding the "3 musketeers" in my fried rice. Or them being a side dish in western food.
When that happens, you'd see me picking out my peas-carrot-corn. Hehe.
Annoyed level: 6/10

So, what annoys you? =) My piece of advice: Just be patient and endure with it. If you die-die also have to point it out to the person that you're annoyed by his/her actions, be gentle when you do it. ;)
