Happy Bithday, Dad. =)

To the one man who stood by me through thick and thin;
Who loved me when I was at my worse;
Who encouraged me to stand up every time I fall;
Who quietly clears up my mess and never complaints;
Who is always proud of me but never mentions a word about it...
Daddy, you couldn't have loved me any better.
Happy Birthday. =)

My dad has this crazy love for cream and steamboat, so Weijin and I bought him the Black Forest cake from Secret Recipe, and also to Seoul Garden for lunch the next day (upon his request). :) My dad is a happy man when his tummy remains round.
[Dee, Mee & Black Forest. Lol.]

[Mirror mirror on the wall, who's the darkest and shortest of 'em all?
EELEEN.]

[Again. Dee, Mee & Seoul Garden. Hahaha!]
Sorry. The pictures look so nice I just have to post it up. Hehehe.

[The pain in the ass and the crazy girl with the crazy hair. :)]

A very good reminder. :)

Favourite Christmas to New Year Moments

A picture speaks a thousand words. :) Here goes...

1. Planning & throwing my church's Children's Christmas Party
*A million thank you to everyone who made this party a success, especially Yi Lin, who is the backbone of the whole team. :) And may these children come to know the Lord at an early age. :)

2. Realizing how long we've been childhood best friends. "Best friends know how retarded each other are". I clearly know how retarded Woan Sein can be. HAHAHA.

3.  Captain Awesome's silly grin. =)

4. Laughing with my dad. :D

5. Coincidentally wearing a Question-and-Answer tshirt together with Captain Awesome. Haha. Funny moment when we realized it.

6. Christmas shopping for loved ones!!
[Thank you, love. :)]

[Nothing beats a classic wool blazer. ;)]

7. Seeing this Christmas tree made out of books. I was trying really hard not to be cheeky and pull out one of the books just to watch the whole thing collapse.
*rubbing my palm together with cheeky grin*

8. Receiving a box of chocolate cake topped with fresh strawberries from XiuQi!! :)))

9. Singing karaoke with a bunch of drunk girls. Drink water also drunk... Lol.

10. Having breakfast and healthy, encouraging conversation with my soul mate, Mel. :) I personally think the conversation was wayyyyyy healthier to the soul than our breakfast. Heh.

The year has ended. Time to start a great new year.
Dear Jesus, please guide my heart, my path and my ways. Amen!! :)

Happy Birthday, Dearest!

This post is way overdue... Sorry Hun. Hehe.
But still, thought you deserve this birthday shout out. =)
Still showing off your Mont Blanc wallet ey? Haha. =)

I know you've been really busy with work lately, and it's really tough and all, but remember that your strength comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. And when you get frustrated with work or your employees, think about my embarrassing car park incident or the rugby action. Hehehe. =)

Psalms 121
I lift up my eyes to the mountains
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.

He will not let your foot slip.
He who watches over you will not slumber,
indeed, He who watches over Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.

The Lord watches over you,
the Lord is your shade at your right hand;
the sun will not harm you by day,
nor the moon by night.

The Lord will keep you from all harm,
He will watch over your life;
The Lord will watch over your coming and going
both now and forevermore.

My prayer for you, His promise, your source of strength.
Once again, Happy belated birthday, Captain Awesome. =) Loves.

Humble Beginnings

No one is born great. We all start somewhere.
No matter how well you do today, no matter how successful you are, never ever forget your humble beginnings.
I almost forgotten mine. And God had to remind me to remember it, the hard way. And mannnn, it hurts. But I know it was because He loves me. If God stops dealing with you and your mess, something is really wrong and you should be worried.
Sometimes we get so caught up with our own success that we forgotten that there is a thing called Blessing. We thought that we are the ones who work our way up; we thought success comes from our own effort; we look at our hands and tell ourselves, it is us who did it on our own.
That is the moment when pride takes over, and we lose our humility. And when you think so highly of yourself, do you really think there will be any room left for you to remember where it all began?

Don't repeat the same mistake I made a year ago. Remember your humble beginnings, and it will lead you somewhere extraordinary.
No one is born great. We are all start somewhere. Remember. =)

Love,

*Wrote this when I'm really sleepy. Sorry if it doesn't make any sense. Haha.Goodnight peeps. Zzzzzz...*

Happy Birthday, Eeleen!!! =)

I received a total of 8 different cakes on this year's birthday... Am I blessed or what?!?! ;)
Hehehehehehe. My mom is the happiest 'cause she gets to try out so many cakes.
I wasn't expecting anything this year, 'cause... Well, I don't know... Just didn't expect anything la. You can't really expect people to celebrate for you every year right?! It's not like I'm some big shot celebrity or what.
But I was once again reminded that I am surrounded by really, really awesome and sweet people. =)

Parents got me a cake, treated me chicken rice (yes my ultimate favorite hehe); mom got me a mascara ('cause she wanted the Buy 1 Free 1 deal in Watsons HAHA), and dad paid for my very first original Adidas running shorts!!
[You're pretty blind if you can't see my wide grin]

I usually run in whatever jersey shorts I have. So to have one of this is really cool. =)
[Adidas Modern Classics]

Captain Awesome got me an iguana charm, to add to my Thomas Sabo charm collection. =) He wrapped that tiny little iguana in a box twice the size of my head. o.O Men. Haha.
[Got this for Valentine's =) ]

[Green little iguana. Super duper cute...=) ]

Then in the evening after a friendly game with Spearhead Floorball Club, team Contact surprised me with a cake and a birthday song!! It was a really, really pleasant surprise. =)
[It was also Serene's birthday]

And that was not the end. Natasha asked me to follow her to her car, and she actually got me a whole big box of Secret Recipe cakes, all different flavours, all lighted up!! How sweet was that. =) But what happened was, the box caught fire from the candle, and it started burning and flaming up. HAHAHAHAHAHA. I couldn't laugh during that moment 'cause I was really tired after the game, and happy, and worried that the fire would cause her car to explode, and was busy trying to put out the fire without ruining the cakes. LOL. Kan cheong. Thank you, princess. =)
[Fire aftermath. Hehe.]

Benson also got me a gift, wrapped in newspaper!! Hahahahaha. Apparently he couldn't afford wrapping paper, according to him. HAHA. Joker this fella. LOL. Thanks Ben. :)
[From Benson. Super hard Fatpipe balls.]

Like I said, I am once again reminded of how loved and blessed I am. =)
Time seems to fly faster than ever lately, and it's really scary. But I try not to think about it.
Thank you for making this birthday really, really special. =) You know who you are.

2013 New Year's Resolution =)

I make New Year's Resolutions for myself every year. And whether or not I finish them is another thing. Hehehe. But to me, to have a list of them, is the beginning of a great start. ;) I hope it's still not too late for 2013's Resolution. It's still January maaa... And to be honest, I think I did fairly well achieving last year's resolution. Except for the part where I'm supposed to keep my body fat % below 18%. BIG FAT failure. Sigh. But I'm gonna try again this year!!! :)

So here goes my list:
1. Hit my sales target and improve overall job performance = sell more drugs. Legally. ;)
2. Improve my daily walk with God.
3. Run at least 2 marathons, with the 2nd marathon within 2 hrs 20 mins.
3. Take part in one triathlon. Whatever the distance or time may be.
4. Go on a vacation. Like a really, really relaxing one. No rushing here and there. No hardcore shopping. One that just allows me to sit there, stare at the beautiful sky or some awesome scenery and day dream about anything I want.
5. Tone up my body. Improve heart rate.
6. Go for blood test. *Digging my own grave*
7. Be true and honest to myself.
8. Be attentive and really listen when others are talking.
9. Blog more often!!
10. Be happy and contented at how I look in front of the mirror even when I'm without make up.
11. Get out of debt. CC debt = GG. Gone game.
12. Use my manners. "Thank you", "sorry", "please", even when others don't do it or deserve it. Someone has to be the better person. I'll start with me.
13. Speak verbally more. I've always been a texting kinda person. I guess it's because I'm not confident speaking in English, thus I tend to text more. But this needs a change.
14. Spend less time on the phone/ipad/computer. We humans are losing the beautiful art of face to face communication. And that is just plain sad.
That day I left my phone at home for a whole 4 hours, and I realize, I had more time to spend with people around me, talking and laughing. And it also made me realize, that I can actually live without my phone.
15. Spend more time with my family. They won't be here forever.
16. Learn to forgive easily, and enjoy life more.
17. Go for swimming lessons. Heh.
18. Do more recycling. SAVE THE EARTH!!!
19. Save up more. By starting to clear my debts. Sigh.
20. Help those in need.
21. Smile more. And be truly happy.
22. Recognize and appreciate those who truly love and care about me. For those of you whom always seem too busy for me...especially to even reply a text... I'm sorry. My life is short too. I'd rather spend it appreciating those who appreciate my company too.
23. Oh!!! Oh!!! To keep my body fat % below 18%. Hehe.
24. Eat more vegetables and bean sprout.
25. Learn to prioritize. Decide on what's important Eeleen, you're not Super Girl.
26. Be teachable, humble and always gentle.
27. Meet more new people.
28. Don't judge. Be more accepting of others.
29. Cut my hair short.
30. Learn to let go of the past.

All the best, Eeleen. *Fingers cross* =)

You're Only 18 and 2* Once

I am again and again reminded by this little girl, who never fails to make me laugh, that I only live once. :)
Yesterday, Natasha and I were at 1st Avenue Mall. After a movie, as we were about to go home, we came across this super tall pink Christmas tree in the middle of the mall. Apparently, 1st Avenue was having this contest where any purchase of RM10 and above in a single receipt from any shops in 1st Avenue, you're entitled to participate in this competition, which you write your wish on this pink candy cane, and the 20 most creative wishes stand a chance to win a Ralph Lauren perfume. :)
[Pink candy cane]
I'm the kind who usually ignores such contest, 'cause.. What are the odds right?? My chances of winning are probably 1 in a million, so I usually don't waste my effort. But Nat being Nat, she was so excited about it so I just went along with it. :)
 [My wish. HAHA!]
 [Nat :) ]
I convinced Nat to hang our candy cane at the highest peak, hoping that the organizer would see how sincere we are and we'd probably get chosen. LOL. When Nat climbed to the highest peak, the guard ran to us and shouted at us in hokkien: "Mai pek ah neh kuan!! Ka teng pa to lok lai tu cham!!" (It means "Don't climb so high, later you'd fall!") Haha. He shouted so loud that almost everyone in the mall were staring at us.
Awesome dy la...famous dy la both of us. Probably got black listed for doing monkey business dy. Pffffft. :P
[That's how tall the Christmas tree is]
One candy cane wasn't enough for that day. So we went into another shop, spend another RM10 and had another candy cane. This time, it was Nat's turn to write her wish. Which I won't tell you what it is here, later she sue me for blogging about her wish without her consent :P Hehe.
That's it for now peeps! Will write soon. :)

=)

Guess what came in today? :)
Happy monthsary, hun. :) And thank you. They're lovely.

Had my first and a little too early birthday celebration dinner too at Lollipot Steamboat with my parents, WeiJin and XiuQi. :) All paid by the once annoying little boy who's all grown up now but still annoying. Thanks, love. :)
XiuQi gave me this. First birthday present of year 2012!! :) One of the sweetest person I've known. :) You've made history in my life, babe!! HAHA.
[Skin Food Cucumber Soothing Mask]
Thank you. :) All these made my day.
*Wide smile* :)))

Mr. & Mrs. Harold Chung

This was supposed to be up a week ago but I have been superbly busy ever since I came back from Sabah. Heh. Sorry for the delay ah..:)
Yes. I flew to KK two weekends ago for Captain Awesome's brother's big day:
Harold and Doreen's wedding. :)

I missed the church wedding 'cause it was on a separate weekday, so I could only make it for the dinner. Nonetheless, it was full of surprises, with a crazy wedding entrance dance (exactly like the one I danced for Matthew and Madalen's wedding dinner), a very cute and funny video of Harold trying to save the world while his bride was anxiously waiting for him to get married LOL, and also a young band performing pretty good music.

The band was seated at our table and Captain Awesome told me that the lead guitarist kept staring at him. So I suspect that he's gay 'cause he had hair twice the length of mine, and he had mascara and eyeliner on, and earring on his right ear. But oh well..I wouldn't mind letting him feast his eye on Captain Awesome for a while 'cause he played good music. HAHAHA. :D
[Table gift. The fake forrero roche was just styrofoam ball inside. Bwahahahahahaha. ]

[The scene before everyone arrives]

[Pretty cake :) ]

[How can you not love roses?!?!]

[Eeleen, Doreen, Harold & Shawn]

[HAHA. I should wear this while running the 2012 PBIM.
I'll definitely be on Star paper the next day.]

[Like a boss]

[He farted. Hehehehe.]

[Nah..the band. You can guess who checked Captain Awesome out.
No prize for guessing correctly. Teehee. :D]
And the most epic part of the night is when I was mistaken as Captain Awesome's escort. WTH.
I think it's his aunty. She thought I was only 15 or 16 and thought Captain Awesome hired me to be his escort. WALAO. Pffffft. Captain Awesome felt super insulted, but for me...you gotta be really attractive and smart to be an escort right?? LOL. So I take it as a compliment. HAHAHA.

In the end, I was assigned to give out these roses, since Harold has already paid for it. Plus, it was only few days after Valentine's. So it'd be nice to give the ladies these roses. :)

[My Valentine's gift from Shawn. A paper prawn. How nice of him. LOL.
But then, I gotta compliment him for his origami skills. I suck in origami. Suck big time.]
And no. He didn't give me a paper prawn for Valentine's. Haha.

[AND YOU HAVE TO MEET LEOPARD!!
This is Leopard. Cutest cat I've seen so far. :D]

[Look at her adorable pose!! I've never been a cat person. But Leopard's just too cute!! :) ]
I was in KK for barely 48 hours, and had to say goodbye dy. Sigh. But it's okay. I should be seeing him soon. Flew back to Penang early in the morning, and straight away head to Vistana Hotel for my company's annual dinner. I was in charge of the event and was also the emcee, so I had to be there by noon to make sure everything was alright and also for rehearsals.
[Steven & myself - Emcees of the night]

[Caroline-Eeleen-Ewa. Colleagues from KL.]
Totally knocked out after I reach home. Tired. But it was all worth it. :))
